Mother & Child Antler girls & fated friendships

I am going to guess if you are familiar with myself and work you may follow me on one of my social media channels, which would mean you also know who some of my friends are.
I can’t exactly remember how long ago I met Natalia Fabia. I’m going to guess sometime around 2003. I used to do these trunk shows every six months at a shop in San Francisco called Jaxx on Haight St. At that time I was only making one of a kind pieces all handmade in my Los Angeles Apartment. I had such an awesome support base in San Francisco at the time especially at this unique mid to high-end boutique.
Doing these trunk shows was one of my favorite biannual trips. Anyway, long story short during one of my shows my friend Mandy who was the manager at the time had brought in jewelry made by LA artist Natalia Fabia. I literally saw her work and postcards and decided we were going to be friends at that moment.
When I got back to Los Angeles I contacted her and asked her to model some of my new pieces and told her how much I loved her work. Like all magical love stories we became fast friends.
Skip to approximately 14 years later Natalia has this incredible talented sweet little girl, who is also my god-daughter. Every time she comes over to my apartment she heads straight downstairs so we can make something. Last time it was a flower crown where she art directed and I constructed.
Natalia recently did this painting using my antler head pieces.I love it so much.  Peribeau is going to be an epic painter when she grown up just like her mom.

I just wanted to share these images because I think they are so beautiful.
I hope you are all getting through this week as best as you can. I know there is so much sadness and destruction happening, this is just one little bit of beauty in the storm of life.

Lots of love,
