I’m A RockStar…. Raving lunatics and retail workers.

Do not antagonize the raving. I am always tempted for some reason, but i am quite small and the lunatic is generally quite large.
As i sit on the bottom step of the stairs waiting for the train this morning. There a lunatic bellowing rants which i cannot hear clearly because as usual i have headphones on and do not care what he has to say.
People like to talk just to hear the sound of their own voice allot of the time.
So i try not to speak mindlessly unless i have something to say, excluding casual conversation which is necessary to pass the time frequently.
Sometimes the ranter is really entertaining though.
My favorite example of this:
When i first moved to San Francisco (i believe it was 1994-1995 ) one of my first jobs was at Flax on market street.
I started as a cashier and ended up in customer service information that is not really relevant but on this day i was front cashier.
The store front is all glass and you enter through big glass doors into a large sales floor of many different departments.
One day Wesley Willis & Jello Biafra walk through the front door. Well Jello walks in Wesley sort of bursts in stating in a loud voice ” I am a rockstar, I’m gonna make a load of money”
On repeat.
I checked them out.
Jello-” Hes like a bull in a china shop”.
We had all kinds of random people in and out of that store. It really is a beautiful Art Store. I loved working there.
R.R Crumb’s creepy brother used to come in all the time. I would avoid him not wanting to be pants-ed.
After Flax i ended up working @ Betsey Johnson on Geary for four years.
I could write a book of short stories all the funny and gross things women do in retail stores.
I’ll just put that on my “to do” list.
A diary of the perpetual shop girl.
I have worked allot of retail and many odd and strange freelance jobs in my life.
